The Design—Ribbed Crochet Tank Top Pattern
The Cavalcade Camisole is a great staple piece to add to your wardrobe. Because of its knit-like texture and short row shaping, it has a timeless, classic, and luxurious look and feel. Wear alone or layered with your favorite button-down and paired with a wide-leg linen pant, high-waisted jean, or flowy summer skirt.
The cardigan is constructed side-to-side by making two panels—a front and back panel, then seaming them together at the shoulders and sides.
Fit + Sizing
The Cavalcade Camisole has a classic fit, with mirrored short row shaping along the front and a narrow 1x1 knit-like ribbing along the bottom hem. The front and back are identical. Sizing is based on Craft Yarn Council's standards.
It is designed to have a positive ease of 0-2". To select your size, measure your bust and find the garment circumference in the chart that matches approximately 0-2" larger. If you prefer to have more or less ease, select the garment circumference that reflects that number in inches compared to your measured bust in inches.
Size | Bust Circum. | Garment Circum. |
XS | 28-30" | 30" |
S | 32-34" | 34" |
M | 36-38" | 38" |
L | 40-42" | 42" |
XL | 44-46" | 46" |
2XL | 48-50" | 50" |
3XL | 52-54" | 54" |
Materials
As written, you'll need category 2 sport weight yarn in the amounts of:
579(675, 766, 854, 975, 1071, 1205)yds
Other materials you'll need:
3.5mm crochet hook
tapestry needle
scissors
st markers (optional)
Yarn Substitutions
The yarn I used is WeCrochet Galileo. Many sport weight yarns could work for this pattern. I'd recommend sticking to yarns that have a fair amount of drape to them and staying away from stiffer fibers. You can also check out Yarn Sub. I recommend making sure you make a gauge swatch. Small differences in gauge can lead to big differences in project outcome. For more on gauge, you can read this blog.
